07 June 2015 A delegation from Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) lead by Ms. Anita Usama Bakhtiar, visits NIDM to discuss various initiatives that could be taken up jointly. NIDM shared the ventures where both the organizations can join hands, in near future.
Unicef Pakistan Experts meet NIDM Head
25 May 2015 A two member delegation (Ms. Masooma Qazilbash and Muhammad Idrees Khan) from UNICEF Pakistan visited NIDM on 26th May 2015 and shared the training material on School Safety. NIDM and UNICEF agreed to support each other in taking the agenda of School Safety to a further level by promoting advocacy and implementation of best practices on ground through training and other learning initiatives. Brig. (R) Sajid Naeem and Mr. Kazim Razzaq represented NIDM in the meeting.
Country Director of UNOCHA Pakistan visits NIDM
22 May 2015 Mr. George Khoury, Country Director OCHA Pakistan accompanied by Mr. Hussainullah, Head of Field Unit OCHA Pakistan paid a visit to NIDM on May 21, 2015. The CD was given a detailed briefing on the various initiatives being undertaken by NIDM and achievements so far. Mr. Khoury appreciated the contributions made by NIDM and offered his support towards assisting NIDM technically and also advocating for it at various relevant fora. Brig. (R) Sajid Naeem acknowledged the positive role of UNOCHA that it has been playing in support of NIDM since long.
UNDP Delegation calls on NIDM head
18 May 2015 A three member delegation including Dr. Muhibuddin Usamah (Technical Specialist DRM), Mr. Hyungguen Park (DRR Research Officer) and Mr. Naeem Iqbal (National Project Coordinator) visited NIDM to discuss the progress of the ongoing activities and shaping the future support. Brig. (R) Sajid Naeem briefed the delegation about the progress made by NIDM and highlighted the future plans. The delegation later visited the Resource Centre and other training facilities available. It would be worth mentioning that UNDP is currently supporting NIDM generously for its training and other activities.
